    HI..I HAVE BEEN ACTIVE IN THE FIRE SERVICE NOW FOR 3 YEARS AT CANTONMENT VOL. FIRE DEPT. I AM NOW A LT, IT IS HARD BECAUSE NO ONE WANTS TO LISTEN TO A FEMALE OFFICER....I HAVE BEEN AROUND ALL MY LIFE TO THE FIRE SERVICE DUE TO MY GRANDPA BEING A BAT CHIEF AT CITY OF PENSACOLA FIRE...

    Hi there! Hang in there. I've been in the fire service for five years now and it seemed like it took forever for guys to listen. I guess I took the bull by the horns enough that I made them take notice. Do what you're trained to do and don't be afraid to stand your ground. I started as a volunteer and started working for an agency three years ago.

    Some things will never change. As long as a person is capable of doing the job, what difference does their race, sex, etc., make? Absolutely none. If you made lt., you must know your stuff. I'd be happy to follow you anywhere :^)
