I was just curious as to what all of you do to let go and have abit of fun (other than fight fires and save lives). Personally I enjoy motorcycling, dayhiking, and turning scrap junk into things that actually run (like on TLCs Junkyard Wars). What do all of you do to blow off?

Hey, new to the boards. Name's Tracy, proud volunteer of Rockland County's Hillcrest Fire Dept (Dept 6). As far as stuff OUTSIDE killing the red devil, I like to go to the movies, hang out with my brothers, play paintball, and race cars.

I like to shoot, hunt, fish, hike, camp, and scout for deer and elk. Between hunting and fishing trips, I also like my IBC root beer in front of the tube watching COPS, Third Watch, etc...
I used to build models and I always liked model trains but I don't do those much anymore.

I keep tropical fishes, maybe as a stress-calmer-downer, and I do a lot of sports, mainly running and some weight lifting. Also I like to read Fire/EMS related books. One of my favourite fire books is "fighting fire" by Caroline Paul, and I just started reading "Rescue 471" by Peter Canning, pretty good so far.

I spend a great deal of time with my two boys (ages 4 yrs and 6 mos). They are lots of work, but lots of fun too. Other than that I like going to the movies, sailing, and skiing.

I am sad to say that I literally do not have time for any hobby. I have 2 kids and wife that is a stay at home mom. My hobby is to work part time. I enjoy it though so don't feel sorry for me. I stay physically fit and always take a fun vacation w/ my family every summer.
God Bless our wonderful country.
