I'm starting to think that I'm in the Ice Age. I'm still running a 56K here. Don't have broadban access yet.

    56k here too, codeblue.

But, even though I live in the sticks, the local phone company has decided to offer DSL in their area starting from the farthest points out and working in. That means Silver City (without rural water or cable) will have DSL service in the next couple of months.

WOW!!...... I live deep in the Northern Maine woods and yes, we do have cable modems here. At the fire station, we only use a 56k but I bring my laptop and cable modem to work. I can't take that slow......modem.

    Exclamation

Regular phone modem. 56k, oh I dream of 56k. I've got it and can't use it. The phone line is only good for about 14.6k. Matter of fact I think we still have rotary phones in the county with switch board operators. I can go to a call and come back and then check the site I wanted. That's slow. <img src="eek.gif" border="0">

T-1 at work and 56K at home - no wonder I only post during business hours!
