    No not exactly, Emergency Vehicles in KY only have the right to request the other motorists to yield to them. Emergency vehicles are required to follow all traffic laws if the other vehicles do not yield. "Civilian" vehicles have no obligation in KY to yield to any emergency vehicle except law enforcement.

    Exception is if an emergency vehicle is on the burm, left or right, the oncoming vehicle must travel/pass in the opposite lane from the burm (4 lane roads).
