Post What kind of bunker gear does your Dept. have?

My Dept. Still uses 3/4 boots and long coats,we are getting pants due to nfpa changes, our coats are the exact same as the senior members, due to the fact that the gear is kept on our Engine.Personally i like the long coats and 3/4 boots better than heavy bunker pants.

I am not sure if you are asking to see about obtaining our gear or if you were just curious what our Jrs. wear which is the same as what we wear on calls. If your department is in need of the gear please feel free to have someone contact me.

He posted that 7 years ago...

I think he's got it figured out by now.

You need to be locked up. You are criminally insane.

Janesville is what my department issues, but we have a ton of old Morning Pride and I personally use self-purchased Globe GX-7.

    Default Turn out gear

In my dept. Our probation members have the old black turn out gear and the senior members have Ramware or fire gear. All of us have blue bullard helmets.

Whatever we have there when you join. What is it with people keeping these 7 year old threads going.

I wasn't gona... I don't want everyone to know about my science experiment gone wrong...

And yes people, when placed on top of cars on your way to drill, Ben IIs do not fly. Well, let me put it this way... They don't stay put. Highest speeds during my "test" were 35 mph.
If you get the idea, I was putting my gear in my car. While putting my coat and bunker pants in the back seat, I set my old helmet on top of the car and got in. That was a nice $140 mistake I'll never have to deal with again because with a $200 purchase on TheFireStore.com, they offered me no shipping. So I threw in a gear bag.

It actually damaged it enough to deem it unusable? Damnit! That's terrible.

I don't know how damaged it was... I haven't seen it since I accidently, inadvertantly, left it on top of my car...
