Due to personnel shortages and budgetary constraints our department is staffing an engine labeled "Paramedic Engine" with two EMT-B personnel or an EMT-B and an EMT-I. I am interested if anyone has done this in the past and had problems with the community or with state agencies. Would this be considered false advertising by the FD?

In Texas The Texas Dept of Health Regulates all E.M.S. providers, as this may border on Falsifying Services You Might want to contact your E.M.S. Regulatory agency, most persons today do Know what Paramedics are and will expect a High Level of Care that is outside the E.M.T. Basic or Intermediate Level. There may even be room for Litigation based on Failure to provide Paramedic Service
Remember C.Y.A. Because nobody Else can.
