Full time benefitted position. $2,517 to 3,589 per month depending on qualifications. (This position will be reclassified in 2002 to a lead inspector/assistant-deputy position) Under the fire marshal, conducts fire alarm and sprinkler reviews and inspections. Must be knowledgeable in fire codes and their applications. Also conducts fire origin and cause investigations.

3 years of fire prevention is required.

Computer proficiency is a must. Microsoft Office is preferred. Uniformed position.

City budget is approximately $35,000,000.00

The fire department is going fulltime paid in 2002 and is undergoing a complete fleet replacement program. Currently on pace for roughly 1000 calls per year and seeing 15% growth on average.
