Anyone have any experience(good or bad) with air bag suspension on fire apparatus. It appears to be quite common on commercial over the road trucks. We are writing specs for a new tanker and are thinking about rear air bags. Has anyone else tried them?

Yes I think they are a very good idea. I 've worked in the heavy truck bus. for 16 years, plus 20 years in fire srvice. Todays technology makes air suspension very good for the fire service. No more weak springs or listing vehicles. $ well spent over the life of the rig.
