Looking for amount of time spent on training for firefighters working 10 hour days and 14 hour night tours, ie. 1or 2 hours for day/1 or 2 hours for night, etc.
Is this a department requirement? Is it written as a policy? Thanks!

We do the 10/14 shift also.During the day shift our training usually consists of equipment maintenance ( which also includes daily truck checks, weekly's and monthlies) and equipment reveiw from sales reps.Usually equals approx. 1-2 hours. Ocassionaly we'll do regular training on the days. On the night we'll do our schedualed training anywhere from 2-4 hours depending on the topic. On that schedual I recieved 198.35 total training hours for 1999
