I know this message isnt to do with training however it is to do with policy.
Is it customary for firefighters to wear mourning strips on their badges in the even of a non line of duty death?
What about a retired firefighter? Do you wear one to the retired firefighters funeral?

It is okay to wear a mourning band on the badge for a non line of duty death. Once the funeral services have been completed, the band comes off.
This can be done for a retired member also.
