My department has charged me with the responsibility of setting up a Last Alarm Club after one of the members proposed the creation of same. Apparently, this is some type of fund to which each firefighter contributes and, in the event of a LODD, the survivors are given all or part of the monies to aid with immediate expenses. Anybody know anything about or have in place such a fund? I would be interested in hearing from anyone who does either here in the bulletin board or at my E-mail address.
