The Mt. Lebanon Fire Department is a combination department located in Allegheny County, just south of the City of Pittsburgh. We are a six square mile community of approximately 34,000 residents, comprised of mostly single family residences.

The department has 15 career firefighters (Chief, five Platoon Chiefs, 9 firefighters) and approximately 32 volunteers. We responded to just over 1600 calls in 1998 (all fire related - EMS is provided by a separate agency). We run out of a single station, and operate 4 engines, one truck, one rescue, two utility vehicles, a bus/command vehicle, and a collapse rescue trailer (shared with the Upper St. Clair VFD).
