It's written by Dennis Smith who tells of his days as a firefighter in the south Bronx, in 1972. At this time, his firehouse was the busiest house in the world. The book was an immediate best seller and sold over 2 mill copies in its 1st edition. Dennis Smith is the author of several other books and is the founder of Firehouse Magazine. He is also an advisor for the Congressional Fire Service Institute. This is a must-read for every firefighter.
