    Default INCENTIVE PAY

We are looking for departments that pay additional money for special assignments. Examples are HazMat Team or Technical rescue team. We have a real chance to get these added to our contract but we need some other depts. to use as an example. Thanks for your help!!

The only extra pay that we can earn currently is for our first training. First Responder Level III pays $40.00 per month, and Occupational First Aid Level III pays $30.00 per month. Both courses are paid for, only the FR III do we get paid to attend also. We can hold both tickets for an additional $70.00 per month.

Hope this helps. If you have any further questions you can e-mail me.

Our paramedics get $400/month, EMTs assigned to basic ambulances get $150/month.

District Training Officers get $250/month, Field Training Officers get $150/month while they have a rookie on probation.

Rescue and Haz-Mat team members get $150/month.

They have been promising ARFF firefighters assignment pay for two years now, but so far it hasn't come through.

    Our incentives are...

    Hazmat tech stipend: $1000.

Educational incentives are based on the number of academic credits towards an approved degree.

    1 to 9 credits, $10 per credit
10 to 24 credits: 1.5% of base salary
25 to 39 credits: 3% of base salary
    40 to 59 credits: 5%
    60 credits/Associate's degree: 10% of base salary
    120 credits/Bachelor's degree: 12% of base salary

Master firefighter (10 years of experience) 5% of base salary.

First Responder: 2% of base salary
EMT: 7% of base salary (5% for EMT certification + 2% for first responder)

Night shift differential (5% of base salary mutiplied by 58.3%, the ratio of average night hours worked per week).

12 paid holidays, with time and half on holidays if you are working on the night before or day of the hoilday (midnight to 18:00 hours)

    We have 3 special teams.

Haz Mat gets 5% added to their paycheck every pay day.

Marine Firefighting Team and Tech Rescue don't get anything. Only difference is that the Marine Firefighting team only trains on regular duty days. If they are called for an incident they are paid overtime. Tech Rescue is paid overtime for training and incidents.

We also have incentives for college degrees. 5% for Associates degree, 10% for Bachelor's.

We get an extra $5,000 per year as an ALS provider released or not. That is also calculated into your O.T. that you make.
