I had to work that weekend. Who won, how was it, did it rain during the parade / drill, was the beer cold? You know, just some important questions that need answers.
(I've heard conflicting reports on the event and need some more input on it)

How was the NYS Parade and Drill?

parade was pretty massive... i think there were nine divisions plus the host... It drizzled a bit before we stepped off, but that didn't break the humidity;
It was a nice parade though... followed the same route as Southern NY and ended at the same fairground and everything... i didnt hang around much though, i needed to get into town.
Freeport looked awesome... they had like 204 members marching in Class A... really impressive, they won their category.

hey ny'ers,
the weather was horrible,
freeport did look very impressive
i dont know how we did it but lynbrook won
there has to be winners in different classes of dept's, i dunno how we could have won.

the drill on saturday was great.nice weather,cold beer,good food..nice looking girls in the stands..and the fire company who ran it should be very proud of them selves considering they ran it by them selves without the dept's help..good job boys
