My company has been doing fundraisers for local departments and I was trying to come up with a way to help departments located all over the United States. The idea hit me and I went to work building a website that would allow Fire Departments to receive donations year around. As well as being a volunteer firefighter I am also the owner of C&C Wholesale located in Pleasantville Iowa. We carry gifts, collectibles, etc. and have found a way for people to shop online and 30% of their purchase will go to their local fire and ems departments. All departments have to do is let people know about it by word of mouth. I have around 50 products listed now and will soon have around 1000 when I am finished. I am looking for any constructive critisim from my fellow firefighters on how I could improve this program.
