Dear Readers:
Chief Schaper insisted that the word get out to everyone about St. Charles City Firefighter Brad Pierce who died on Sunday morning at Engine House 2, while performing an exercising work out routine. Thanks to St. Charles Dispatcher Michael Cooper (STL829) for securing the details for us.
The wake for Firefighter Pierce will be on Wednesday, August 9 from 2 to 9 pm. He will lay in state at Baue Funeral Home, 620 Jefferson Street, St. Charles, MO.
Funeral procession is Thursday August 10 at 10 am with the processional line up on Jefferson Street. Procession will pass Station 1 to St. Charles High School, then to St. Charles Memorial Gardens.
A trust fund has been set up. Firefighter Pierce leaves behind a wife, a child plus one on the way. Here is the info on it:

once again we must bid farewell to anather fallen warrior. on behalf of the madison jefferson div. of fire, gallia co. ems and rescue and meigs co. ems our prayers, hearts and tears go out to this young mans family and his brother and sisters of the cross.
