East Texas firefighter dies.
It is my sad duty to report the death of my father and our fellow brother James G. Hill Sr. He was fighting a house fire on Nov 9 and passed out he was administer to by the EMS unit on seen was alert and talking when taken to the hospital. About 3 minutes from seen he arrested and was subsiquintally revived but later in the ER had another attack and was pronounced dead. My father was 67 yrs old and didn't not start in the fire service like so many of us at an early age. He had only been in the business for about 14 yrs. He died doing what he loved and with the people he loved. If it were not for my husband and myself my father would never have known this love for the fire service like we do. I would just like to thank everyone for their support through this whole ordeal i do know now the meaning of family. Thank you so much, Jamie (Hill) Calender.
