Anyone have good or bad experiences retrofitting an existing pumper with a flowmeter (meter replacing standard pressure guage)? My dept. is looking at the Fire Research digital flow/analog pressure model.

We have Fire Research digital flow/analog pressure gauges on our large diameter discharges. They are installed on six of our pumpers. Some have been in service for about five years and we have had no problems with them. We have ordered two new pumpers and they will be installed on them also. They do cost more, but feel they are worth the extra cost. You should be very pleased with them.
