The Unofficial Wheeling FD Web Site has some great photos of rigs recently delivered to FDNY. The "Mural" aerial truck that will be assigned to Ladder 10 is shown along with a new Seagrave tiller and the pumpers for Engine 6 (a high pressure pumper) and Engine 15.
Also, take a look at fire scene photos and the apparatus of the WFD (Wheeling has their rigs painted in an interesting Orange & White paint scheme) while you are there. This is a terrific site!

Thanks for the link Steve. Those new FDNY rigs are beautiful.
And for those Wheeling FD rigs......there sure are different, but pretty cool.

Not sure if the new Rescue will be coming from Florida -- but if it does -- it will have to come by way of Tully, NY -- I heard that the chassis for the new rescues will be E-One Cyclones - but the body is to be manufactured by Saulsbury. Which means they have to come by way of Tully, NY.

sweet rigs indeed!
not that i'm a truckie, but i did see that new mural stick at a recent 'buff show' in ny, and snapped a couple of pic's. really nice work.
May God bless all the people and families who have lost
their lives on 9-11-01, to those also lost on Flight 587, and to the rescuers who responded to both.

Tiller Aerial
Does anyone know which company that the tiller aerial in the photo on the Wheeling site was assigned to?

I can't take credit for them! A friend of my, Mark Mitchell, photogrpahed the rigs somewhere in Northern Illinois when they were on the way to New York.

The new Rescue 1 was scheduled to roll into New York City last Wednesday, March 20th and Rescue 2 is still under construction at Saulsbury.
The plant, as noted earlier, is in Tully, NY.
