Question Legal question about the Explorers Program

I need to know if it is against the rules for an explorer to ride in the trucks with the firefighters. Do the rules differ from state to state? Where can I go to find a printout of these laws?

    Default Ride-Along Programs

Actually, the ride-along programs are not a set of state laws, but more of an insurance issue. Some departments have liability insurance comvering ride-alongs, and some do not. But just in case a department does not, the Boy Scouts supply a liability insurance policy to cover the agency the post is chartered to and the members if the post. The Boy Scouts also supply accident and sickness insurance in case of an injury to an Explorer during an activity of the post.
