Thread: Bicycle Safety

I am working on a project concerning bicycle safety programs. The plan is to go to schools, day-care centers, senior centers and malls and run a fun and educational program centered on safe rides. We want to teach helmet use and fit, riding techniques and riding laws. This program will be conducted by members of the Bike Response Team and the pup-ed division. We are still in the planning stages and I came here to seek input from anyone who may have run a similar program. How was your program presented? Class, riding, both? I have hopes of setting up a course to teach riding as well as giving the "safety lecture." We are even making attempts to get helmets donated for people unable to afford them. I have found some resources for running this type program for children, but to date have found nobody running it for adults. Any input is helpful...
