Rock Hill Worker
3-9-02 working fire in the 1100 blk Springdale Rd. Initial dispatch for smoke coming from apartment. While enroute EOC advised numerous calls received for flames through the roof. First due ENG 3 found heavy smoke and fire conditions in a two story wood frame apartment building. Two lines out and working on both floors, Ladder company on vent, RES 2 on search. Good stop by ENG 3 and ENG 4 crew, common attic through out building, only minor smoke and water damage to other apartments.
Intial dispatch- ENG 3, ENG 1, Lad 1, RES 2, BAT 1, w/f ENG 4
Great job by all companies no injuries to civilans, only 1 fire service injury to BAT Chief who twisted knee.
God bless the FDNY.
SEPT 11 2001 will always be in our hearts and on our mindGOD BLESS THOSE WHO WENT BEFORE US
