Carpentersville Fire Department in Northwestern Illinois, Gold Shift battled a second basement fire in the last 10 days. This evenings fire started with a dryer in the basement. It had good vertical and horzontial travel. It extnded into the duct work and started another fire on the main level of the house. It was a raised ranch house. The interior crew did an excellent job of stopping the fire. E 942 was the attack engine supported by E 941 MICU 951 and 952 and an auto aid engine from East Dundee Fire District. CVFD 902 was command. It was brought under control quickly and the salvage and overhaul did a fantastic job of stopping the hidden wall fires. It was another successful fire without any injuries to FF's and/or civilins.
