I have a Radio Shack PRO-89 200 channel-800MHz portable scanner and I will soon have a Motorola Keynote 5/6 tone special that I will have to buy, not my post.

    We currently have 10 juniors.
3 of us have minitor 2's.
4 of us have minitor 1's.
    3 of us have nothing.

    5 of us have Plectrons.
    5 of us have nothing.

    I am lucky, and I have a plectron and a minitor 2.

Plus acouple juniors have theor own scanners and that sort of thing. 1 of which you will probably hear from later, cause he likes to double post. Heck might even copy and paste what I said.

I carry a Minitor III. I am also getting new gear soon. I am about a month away from finishing EMT school and I turn 18 in a little over 3 months.

I've got a Motorola Keynote myself. Others have either P-100 handheld radios, Minitor IIs or Minitor IIIs

    Cool Pagers

Hi everybody... regarding pagers... I started at 16 as a Jr and we were issued pagers and gear right away. I was given a Motorola Advisor Gold Alpha-Neumeric pager and that's the one I still have. Have a wonderful day everyone!

On our dept. the explorers carry Minitor II's and we are working on getting ll the firefighter's III's
The words on my post are my thoughts and my thoughts only, my thoughts have nothing to do with schools I attend, the department in which I volunteer, and other organizations I work.
That is why i do not use my departments name.

Most of our department has Minitor II's. I personally have, and have grown to love, my minitor I. I drop it everywhere, throw it, lose it, and it still comes back for more. Also, there is a very strong feeling against the Mintor III's, they don't work as well as the others.

Our explorers have a mix of mostly Minitor I's and old Sonar's. The dept has some nice Minitor III's for the brass and the rest of us have Reach's and Shinwa's. I have a Reach and most of the time it works fine, but is not as rugged as the trusty old MinitorI I carried as an explorer!

Everyone in our station has Minitor 2s, and I am currently looking into buying a scanner for my room.
These are my opinions, not those of my career department, my volunteer company, or my affiliates. And by the way, I'm not a Junior.
