Default I got infected with hep.C at Ground Zero

I was diagnosed recently with hepatitus C.I've had a biopsy done and it shows acute HCV,with no fibrosis. In this case "acute" refers to 6mos. or less, since some fibrosis would be present after 6 mos. Especially for me,because I have the Irish curse, hemochromatosis, which is a hereditary iron overload blood disorder.Usually harmless,if kept in check.25% of all Irish males have it,most don't even know it.It's the most undiagnosed disease in the US.But all viruses like cancer, parkinsons',MS,you name it,and Hep.(HCV)feed off Iron.My iron was so high,I have to have a pint of blood drawn every week for a year to lower it to a normal level. It possibly could have been worsened from the iron-oxide fumes, but that's not my concern at the moment. If I'd had the HCV for any longer, since it thrives on iron of which I'm so full of,it would be spreading like wildfire.I have this documented and verified by 2 specialists who put it in writing it was from that time period.I had 8 stitches in one hand, several cuts and burns on both hands the entire time I was there.
I was really lucky to have found this out so soon, only by chance from all the heavy metal bloodwork testing.Does anyone know of anyone else who got this virus? It is critical for me to find someone else that caught it there.Comp.Insurance is totally denying any help, along with the 3 bulged discs and a compressed disc so bad, bone marrow is leaking from a vertabrae causing reactive edema.I'm just getting over the respiritory infection, but still have Bronchitis,Rhinitis, upper airway irritation and a bunch of little stuff, bilateral strained forearms, headaches, burn and injury to the foot, depression(doctor stuff),I'm not real happy about anything to do with 9/11,but I'm not suicidal.Liberty Mutual is claiming all injuries to be pre-existing.I'll end up in court in about 2 years,I can't afford the treatment and loss of work to have it treated without coverage.I need to find someone else who also got HCV at Ground Zero and get in contact with them,to show I'm not the only one,to have a better case.I really hope I'm the only one who did get this,I wouldn't wish it on anyone, but if there is someone out there,or you've heard of someone who did, could you contact me at kmiller3@twcny.rr.com. I'm an Ironworker from Syracuse who went to GZ to meet the demand for Ironworkers and lost my regular health insurance by going there, because I didn't have in the required 1000 hours to activate it at my own local.I worked the midnight to 8 am shift.I worked with the big white crane in front of the Merrill Lynch bldg.,I think that was tower 1.The insurance co. called a fire dept public relations dept. and was told Ironworkers came in no contact with bodies and that was not the case with me.So they are saying I'll need a fireman to testify I did.Does anyone remember working there at that shift in that time period who can back me up? I worked for Amec from 9/19 to 11/20,before I had to leave due to a political layoff.

    Question

Wish you the best in getting well, but I have a question. How was it possible for you to donate a pint of blood a week for a year? The Red Cross makes people wait 8 weeks between donations
    Crazy from the heat!!!

Well,to answer your question on how I can give blood so many times? Right now,I've reached the state of Anemia and the the bloodletting has stopped temporarily, but that is where I'll have to be,right on the border of being anemic or slightly anemic for the duration of the treatment.
    Thanks
