Need information on vehicle extrication for a report in my fire science class. Such as when it first started, tools used, methods used, and what/how they are using the equipment now. Will appreciate all help, and links I receive.

Auto Extrication

I think that extrication started shortly after the first model T ford got into a mva!! As far as tools, start with a simple crowbar and go on up to the hydraulic tools of today.
For links, I would suggest HURST's site and also RESQTEC;s site. Both were pioneers in the field of hydraulic tools. One here in the US and one in Europe.
