    Default Other Leather Helmets

    Alright, I'm not trying to start the leather helmet discussion again. But I am looking into buying a new leather, and I want something different. I know about the cairns new yorker and sam houston, but are there any other pure leather lids around. I know the ben 2 plus and conway american heritage are leather, but they have the composite shell underneath. thanks

    Just because the Conway has a composite layer to it do not rule it out. It is a very nice helmet.

    Phenix industries also makes a pure leather lid. You may be able to find them at http:www.thefirestore.com or http://www.edarley.com

    If I remember correctly the Phenix is priced right between the two. I know a firefighter who wears one and likes it a lot. It looks very similar to a Cairns helmet as well. Take a peak.

    THE BEN 2 IS NOT LEATHER. IT IS FYR-GLASS. THE BEN 1 WAS A RUBBER SHELL. CONWAY IS LEATHER OUTER. PHENIX AND CAIRNS MAKE A ALL LEATHER.
