Default And the Pulitzer goes to........

The New York Times staff, for breaking news photography.

Also nominated as finalists in this category were:
Thomas E. Franklin of The Record, Hackensack, New Jersey, for his memorable photograph of three firefighters raising an American flag amidst the wreckage of the World Trade Center towers.

Maybe I'm biased, but, I can't believe this.

    Thumbs up Excellence in Journalism

And the Peabody Award went to the Staff of ABC News, for it's coverage of the events of 9/11!

The prize should have gone to Franklin, in my opinion. The Times was bound to win though as it is the "New York Times", the liberal bastion that it is. It is a shame that the most enduring photograph in the last 50 years did not win the prize.

Default We KNOW who SHOULD have won

I suppose the photo of the flag being raised was not "politically correct" enough for the judges.

    Unhappy It figures

While dissappointing...it's not surprising. Just provides further proof of who's driving the "machine".

Only just another typical example of them and us (those that do it and those that wish they could but can't) BS. Yeah the photographer hmm maybe. More importantly how about ALL three of the Firefighter's that gave us that momment and the photographer.

GOD Bless FDNY and ALL of the Lost Brother's and their families.

I just recently heard that the NY Times got the Pulitzer prize.
B.S. is all I have to say. Tome Franklin should have gotten it
for the most incredible, inspirational and patriotic picture ever
    taken in this century.

I don't give a rats *** who gets what awards!

We all know who the heroes in this world are. Public prizes do nothing for me...

So take your pulitzers, emmy's, tony's, and everything else and melt em down to make me a brass nozzle!

    thank you and goodnight!

No matter who got the award....we all know who should have won. And in our eyes...he was the winner.
