Thank you NJFFS_A16. I know the members of the Russell City Fire Department are hurting and in shock right now. I just pray that Gods comfort, peace, strength and mercy are with them and Earls family and friends.

I was in shock when I heard it was Earl. He was a very respected member of the community. He will be missed greatly.

    Unhappy RE: LODD

An accident report distributed by the Kansas Highway Patrol late Friday afternoon, stated that the fire truck from the Paradise, Kansas department lost its brakes as it approached the accident scene.
I do hope that counseling is being provided to the driver, officer and crew of the engine which, apparently, struck the Chief. I can not imagine what they must be feeling.

May they somehow find peace and comfort!
