On Tuesday April 16 at 9:54a.m the Moulton Fire Dept. was dispatched to a reported Trailer Fire approx.3 miles outside of Moulton. Chief 101 arrived at 9:58 and reported heavy smoke and fire showing.Upon arrival by Engine 20 at 10:00 there was fire showing through the front windows in the trailer.
An aggressive interior attack was mounted using (2) 1.75 handlines and the fire was knocked down in approx. 6 minutes. The fire was found to be in the kitchen and living room areas.
Ventilation was provided by the positive pressure fan and by hoselines inside the trailer.
No one was at home at the time of the fire and the only (victim) was the family cat.
There was total fire damage to the kitchen and living room areas and heavy smoke damage to the remainder of the furnishings.
The fire was determined to have been an electrical short in either the T.V. set or the V.C.R. in the living room.
