At approximately 2:32 am April 20, SVFd were called out to 1936 Perris Road to a fully involved House Fire. Engines 1, 2, 7, 8, Tenders 9, 10 responded from both halls.
1 1/2 lines from Engines 1 and 2 were quickly advanced first doing a exterior attack due to the house being fully invovled. After intial knockdown, a handline was advanced partway into the unburned portion of the stucture. Both tenders were used to shuttle water to engine 1, with engine 1 supplying 2 with water. Main fire was out by 4 am. A false roof and unstable floor caused difficulty exstinguishing hotspots. Fire was out offically by 6 am, all apparatus back in service by 7 am. No one was home at the time and neighbours didn't spot the fire until it burn through the roof. Cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
