Default Copacabana....and the Wolf Blitzer Follies!

Amazing how the media works isn't it? So rapidly we move away from the stories of meaning centering around 9/11 to the Robert Blake Song and Dance review. Just when I was starting to have some respect restored toward our current news agencies for their careful and respectful coverage of our ongoing national tragedy. Apparently Mr. Blake is more fun to cover so we have to watch 1/2 hour of crap about him before we can get to any new WTC stories....or other REAL NEWS!

Sooooooooooo....Now I'd like to present you with a synopsis of today's "news"...........(set to the tune of Copacabana).

His name is Robert, he was an actor,
He played Baretta on T.V., now he's no longer free.
So his wife now...long dead and buried,
Obsessed with T.V. stars, found shot just outside the bar.
Another unsolved crime, get Cochran on the line,
Call Alan and F. Lee Bailey,
    SO HE WON'T DO TIME!

In the paper, my daily paper,
The media's hot on the caper,
In the paper, my daily paper,
Murder and passion are always in fashion,
    In my paper..............

His name was Brokaw, he had a film crew,
They were hiding in the weeds, getting shots for us to see.
And when they finished, they sent them over.
But things went a bit too far, when Stone Phillips was the star.
    And then the punches flew
and chairs were smashed in two,
There was blood over this single story, but just who slugged who

In the paper, my daily paper,
The media's hot on the caper,
In the paper, my daily paper,
Murder and passion are always in fashion,
    In my paper........

His name was O.J., he once played football,
But that was 30 years ago, when he starred for Buffalo,
Now he's a loser, but not to Tonya,
Still in the skates she used to wear,
Lots of peroxide in her hair.
She drinks herself 1/2 blind, and then decides to drive,
she lost her license, she lost her pick-up now she's lost her mind!

In the paper, my daily paper,
The media's hot on the caper,
In the paper, my daily paper,
Murder and passion are always in fashion....in my paper....
Don't read the news.......Don't read the news........
May we never forget our fallen, worldwide.

    Talking Re: MEDIA

    StayBack500FT

And my bosses think they're so smart....what do they know.

I just wanted to say that StayBack500FT is right on the money with the observation. I work at a major news network....I know.

But what would you expect when they hire people (like the Executive Producer of Good Morning America)....from her former job at the National Enquirer?!?!!!

It's all true....absolutely true.....Gossip stories are the BIG news, or at least SHE thinks so. The staff disagrees....but we're just peons! All they are after is ratings and audience....the news doesn't matter anymore.

Remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice!!

    NJFF and StayBack.....

And they wonder why the major networks are losing audiences for their news. CNN (aka - the Communist News Network) is losing big time to Fox News in ratings.

What's that old saying believe none of what you read adn half of what you see becuase you get what they want you to get and nothing more. Who cares about these Hollywood lunatics, we have 20 year old men and women fighting and dying for the very freedoms that allow them to report the news to us and they **** all over them so that they can boost ratings. People's values are all screwed up lately.

Now, Barry Mannilow scares me, mimicking him makes me go unlock teh gun safe.

By the way Stay Back, if you need to get away for a "retreat" I'll loan my rubber room. Lovely view of teh river through the padding and barred windows. I think they put something in the pudding though. I feel mellow now.

They should do a celebrity "Survivior" -- only a literal interpretation of the name.
