It varys from year to year but on the average we have around 15 real structure fires, thats not chimney fires, smoke in the house, gas smell or anything like that.

We ran 44 structure fires last year. About a third were automatic aid outside our area. To put this in better perspective, we had less than 150 total fire runs and less than 100 rescue calls in the year.

We ran only 12 structure fires last year. Which I'm glad since we ran several more the previous year.

Volly house- 12-15 working fires plus about 75 other fires.
Paid Job- 60-70 working fires plus about 250 other fires."I have no ambition in this world but one, and that is to be a fireman. The position may, in the eyes of some, appear to be a lowly one; but we know the work which a fireman has to do believe that his is a noble calling."

We can usually get 1-2 house fires in our district each year, and anywhere from 5-10 mutual aid. We do get some other calls that are of signifigance, but fires seem to be rare.

GoHomeWeGotIt and MakinDaKnock,
Please forgive my ignorance, but what exactly is a "Bluelight wacker", and what does it have to do with this thread?

RUN, run, RUN, run; We all love a good RUN!!!!!
I'm at home and don't have our annual report in front of me but this is what I remember. It is hard to pick what an average year would be.
2000:
836 total runs,
1st due jobs:26
{ 2 engines, 1 truck, 1 rescue }
mutual aid jobs:15 {either single unit up to 3 engine, truck, tanker}
2001:
790+- total runs,
1st due jobs: 10/11
mutual aid jobs: 10/11

The Lynbrook Fire Department runs about 400-500 fire or rescue related calls a year. That0 includes car fires, car accidents, gas leaks, co detectors, automatic alarms, brush fires, wires arcing, elevator rescues, etc. The deparement has been averaging about 10-15 working structure fires a year.

We are a fairly small fire department and I would say we average around 2 structure fires a year.

a few
Well it must be nice to get some fire
we average about 1 first due in cobb island and m/a to about 10-15 in whidbey island we get about 3-6 first due and MAYBE the same m/a. no fire no fun
although we do seem to have alot more mva's in whidbey, but cobb island rolls about 10-15 mva's.
The words on my post are my thoughts, my thoughts have nothing to do with the department in which I volunteer, and other organizations I work
i do it all for the money, yup i make the big bucks!!!!
cobb island VOLUNTEER fire department and ems CO 6
whidbey island VOLUNTEER fire department and ems station 25
