    What was that shot?

Who wants Vodka and Cranberries? I know I'ld like one with a lot of cherries!

Vodka is great for fighting off a cold; so keep the glass filled please. Thank you

it's ok my "cold" is not contagious, it's allergies to the new heating system in my apartment. only sinus congestion that will turn into an infection if not taken care of. ever since these air-docks were put in i get sick; I grew up with the gass furness radiators.

What heating system do you all use? I'll be moving soon so would like to know about good heating. Not that many places have working radiators from the 30s, like I like.

I've gotta reccomend the good old hot water baseboard. either heated by oil or propane...can't stand forced hot air. Dries me right out. As for the old steam radiators, had 2 in my old dorm room and it was extremely hot in there all the time (80's, 90's) with no control over the heat besides trying to shut off the radiators.

Ok remembering hot water baseboard, either with oil or propane, got it!

Ya the forced air is what drives my sinuses bonkers! In my bedroom the vent is barley open, so it's not blowing on me, still can't sleep with it.

Never had a problem with the steam radiators. We had large ones in every bedroom and the dining room, two short ones in the living room, and one small one in the bathroom and kitchen. It was always so toasty we left some of them permanently off all the time. We also had the heat coming from down stairs and trapped a bit from the apartment above.

Anyone else? Input is always appreciated!

    Staying on topic too:
Music: Garth Brooks 'Papa loved mama' and 'The thunder rolls'
Drinks: Buying a round of what ever everyones pleasure is.

Makes me wonder if you and firenresq77 have watched this a few times OR have participated.

Rookie, I'll play normal darts with you, I'm not going to put a quarter up my cheeks to play Butt Darts. We can leave that to the other folks(Rainman, CR, firenresq77, RsptFrmCalgary,...Jay) in that corner. love all the flatlanders

Holy crap! We've got a regular bunch of alcoholics here! I decide not participate one day, and everyone drinks like hell without me.

I see how you guys want to be.

No quarters or their substitutes allowed. Are we doubling in to start?

Damn I need a beer. I just got done with a 37.5 hour shift. We stayed fairly busy.

On the way to the main station this morning, I creamed an owl with the truck. The poor mofo flew right out in front of me and hit the windshield. No one was available to come pick it up, and it was in pretty bad shape so we left it to die (it's illegal to kill a bird of prey you know). We came back to our station later this morning, and on the way we found it sitting up and trying to get flying again. My partner and I took it to the emergency animal hospital after we got off. The damn bird attacked me and tore up my hand when we tried to take it inside the hospital.

I hope you wasn't playing with the owls hooters.

    If this be the case.

I total support the owl in its attack.

Hooters! That bring me back to beer and hot wings.

Here's a beer 1219. Sit down, put your feet up and relax. You're with friends, now. I promise no one will be "owley" with you.

My dream and I hope you don't find this too crazy is that I would like the people of this community to feel that if, God forbid, there were a fire, calling the fire department would actually be a wise thing to do. You can't have people, if their houses are burning down, saying, 'Whatever you do, don't call the fire department!' That would be bad."

Well, it takes FF's to rescue a FF pub, doesn't it?

Well, now it's time for more darts and a rum and coke.

1219: am I allowed rum yet?

(PSSST: no one tell 1219 that I have my own supply if he won't sell me rum. Let's give him another chance )
