I need a few drinks after yesterday's excursion with my aunt and cousins to the amusement park....Nothing like waiting in line for 2 HOURS for one ride...then pay $3 for a bottle of water...I don't know why they're called amusement parks...I wasn't amused...I think 6 flags is the devil

When I was about 12 or 13 my family went to Vancouver to the PNE (Pacific National Exhibition) In about 4hrs we blew well over $100.00 (this was back in about 79 or 80) just in the "park". That was also the trip where I decided that I had better stick to aerobatics in an airplane rather than on the rollercoaster eheeeheheehe (OOOOPSS SORRY DOWN BELOW! )

Can't say as I particularly care for amusement parks. Too crowded, noisy and expensive for me.

Just got back from my "vacation", an 8-day sea kayaking challenge. paddled close to 45 miles in six days. Pure wilderness adventure. No showers, nothing but sea and sand for 8 days, taking just what we could pack on our kayaks. Slept on the beach each night. Last day, we were up at 4am, packed up the camp site and were on the water by 5:30am for a 4 mile paddle in open water against 14 knot winds and the current. Hardest thing I ever did! Now I need a real vacation!

Let me get you a re-fill. I have been lurking here quite a bit but I seemed to be here by myself so there wasn't much point in posting.

Haven't felt much like talking lately. My mom found a place that is selling Miller Lite for $3.99 (after coupons) for an 18 pack. It's not the best stuff in the world, but it's very cost effective. I'll be drinking up tonight; have to work a 48 this weekend.

I got myself a new pistol today. Glock 22, very fun to shoot. They weren't kidding when they said to use hearing protection. It sounds like a cannon going off.

Nice toy, but I prefer a Sig Sauer any day. Quiet, easy to use, very very accurate. Of course I can pretty much carve my name (or used to be able to) with a MP5 too. NOW there is a nice weapon.... sorry to you folks who are restricted from using them.

Now... back to sipping some Chesapeake Blue Crab Blush mmmmmmmmmmm yuuuummmm Gonna be put'n a steak on the ole Barby pretty quick too.

Hey everyone...It's been a busy week and I need a drink or 2...
I was talking with a friend of mine last week about what I want to do with my life once I get my medic, etc...and I said I would like to work with FEMA or DHS, etc, on diaster situations. After seeing, reading, listening to what is going on, I am apalled at how these agencies have reacted to the devastation in the gulf area. Well, sorry for ranting, but I have, along with everyone around the country, world, members who are more than willing to go help out, and have the training needed, but are getting the runaround from these agencies.

Lots of things going on, but nothing I would like to talk about here. Privately, perhaps. Stuff that makes you want to bang your head on the wall and ask WTF!

I don't have anything to celebrate, but I reckon I could bring some chocolate to dip those strawberries in.

    Exclamation

I'm spent. I came home from a 48 hour shift and shot my new pistol, then found some worms and went fishing. I caught 1 fish and it didn't cook right so I threw it out. No lunch. Played the comp for a while, then when I was getting ready to go buy some crickets so I could fish more, my pager went. I caught a job and drove the engine to it. Almost creamed a stupid kid that looked right at the big flashing red truck and pulled right out in front of me. Went and drank a cold beer, got some dinner, then came home and had another cold beer. Now I'm pretty tired and I still need to get cleaned up from the fire so I can get some real sleep.
