it's ok my "cold" is not contagious, it's allergies to the new heating system in my apartment. only sinus congestion that will turn into an infection if not taken care of. ever since these air-docks were put in i get sick; I grew up with the gass furness radiators.
What heating system do you all use? I'll be moving soon so would like to know about good heating. Not that many places have working radiators from the 30s, like I like.An education is only wasted when the taught individual chooses not to recognize the value of the lesson.

I've gotta reccomend the good old hot water baseboard. either heated by oil or propane...can't stand forced hot air. Dries me right out. As for the old steam radiators, had 2 in my old dorm room and it was extremely hot in there all the time (80's, 90's) with no control over the heat besides trying to shut off the radiators.

Ok remembering hot water baseboard, either with oil or propane, got it!
Ya the forced air is what drives my sinuses bonkers! In my bedroom the vent is barley open, so it's not blowing on me, still can't sleep with it.
Never had a problem with the steam radiators. We had large ones in every bedroom and the dining room, two short ones in the living room, and one small one in the bathroom and kitchen. It was always so toasty we left some of them permanently off all the time. We also had the heat coming from down stairs and trapped a bit from the apartment above.
Anyone else? Input is always appreciated!
Staying on topic too:
Music: Garth Brooks 'Papa loved mama' and 'The thunder rolls'
Drinks: Buying a round of what ever everyones pleasure is.
