Jeremy, I here now! Are there any left? Airports that you can fly into would be Ohera, midway, and/or palwaukey(sp?)~miggs in non-existent now, but I think we should buy the can of whip cream here.

well, i'm here. drunk again. ran a tough call this morning. one of our own got burned and I took him in. i still feel sick to my stomach. the smell of burning flesh is hard to forget. especially when it is someone you know and respect.

I hope he's doing better today and the recovery is going well and fast.

thanks for everyone's support. The FF who got burned is doing much better. It was a freak accident at the station involving a grill and a propane tank. Ended up as a FF fully engulfed in a ball of fire. We are so lucky it wasn't worse. We had a stocked medic unit in house, but the crew was gone. It's only staffed 6a-6p, then we are fire-only. We debated on calling for a staffed unit, but figured, due to their response time, a "scoop and run" was our best option. We assembled a crew and ran. Might have bent the rules slightly, but just as one of the guys said " when one of your own goes down, f**k the rules and get the job done". And in the end, it paid off. Thanks again everyone.

Ok...I need many many drinks. I've come to the conclusion my new job, pay wise, isn't all it's cracked up to be. Let me put it this way...I could be making more working at the local Dunkin Donuts...sigh....I gotta get out of western MA.

I thought you were going to come down to Chicago. (the city is about to test in '06 ) It's not AS cold, and if you think it is, I'm here to warm you up.

But you might have the same problem~lack of a good pay.
