Ahhh..finally off of work for the evening...gotta love arriving and then promptly leaving for a 4.5 hour transfer. At least it was a medic run and all I had to do was drive (hopefully can't say that for much longer). Grabbing Jorie and Rookie a drink and joining them in the hot tub...Glad I brought my FD bathing suit

Well I'm glad you finely joined, but you're going to have to wait for a massage till Rookie has had enough of hers. the FD bathing suit; does that mean just the helmet? Mmmm...feeling a bit feisty tonight.

Where is everyone going? Is it only the three of us now? Where are all the lushes?

HEY!!! BEERS ON ME. I just finished my Automated Cashiers course, and PASSED. Now I just have to 'hang my hat' for another couple of hours (well ok till Saturday at 0615!) until I fly home again.

This place called "Ottawa" is a ZOO! We've had 2 MVAs and one pedestrian fatility just here in the intersection beside the hotel. I attended a MVA last weekend on the highway, which was pretty minor compared to what happened this morning.

The Guinness and the Scotch are flowing well! CHEERS EVERYONE! See y'all tomorrow.
If you don't do it RIGHT today, when will you have time to do it over? (Hall of Fame basketball player/coach John Wooden)

Ottawa is my home town! It's actually a pretty calm place, must be your timing*LOL*. I live just outside the city now since I left the Military. Hope you enjoyed yourself while here.

    Ottawa is my home town!
Born and raised in KINGSTON! I have many memories of Ottawa; some of which include the Byward market. Let me buy you a drink...

Pathfinder if'n I'da known you were out there, I'da called up! Rookie, I knew you were out Kingston way, but thats a bit far to trick over for a day visit

I'll be back in the 'area' sometime mid Feb for the weekend (family visits) and pretty much every three months after that.

The "Market" was a great load of fun. We pretty much polished the bar with our sleeves in the Heart and Crown... or was that the Black Rose or...? LOL There are FIVE pubs in one building, all interconnected - that was almost too much to handle. Had a wee crack at the Dubliner too.

I stayed in the Quality Inn, and took class from the Constitution Building (not sure if the name is because thats where the finance training is done or because of the number of pubs available heheeehehe) The intersection for that last MVA is Rideau and King Edward streets. We were told that it is the most dangerous intersection in all of the Ottawa area. There were 5 traffic related events reported in that area over the past 10 days alone! Two that were very serious. Apparently Ottawa Stn 13 isnt too far from there either. Ahh well I am home again, and in a MUCH WARMER climate WOOOHOOOO
