I don't have Oreos but I made some extra oatmeal raisin bars and brought milk to go with 'em! I know this is a pub but I thought y'all might like a bit of home cooking.

And congrats Firemonkey, on the Dean's List!

I JUST HAD to pass this one around!

    Subject: Girls' Night Out

Why females should avoid a girls night out after they are married...(If this doesn't make you laugh out loud, you have lost your sense of humour.)

The other night I was invited out for a night with the 'girls.' I told my husband that I would be home by midnight, 'I promise!'

Well, the hours passed and the margaritas went down way too easily. Around 3 a.m., a bit loaded, I headed for home. Just as I got in the door, the cuckoo clock in the hallway started up and cuckooed three times. Quickly, realizing my husband would probably wake up, I cuckooed another nine times.

I was really proud of myself for coming up with such a quick-witted solution, in order to escape a possible conflict with him. (Even when totally smashed... ) Three cuckoos plus nine cuckoos totals 12 cuckoos-MIDNIGHT!)

The next morning my husband asked me what time I got in, I told him 'MIDNIGHT.' He didn't seem ****ed off in the least. Whew, I got away with that one!

Then he said 'We need a new cuckoo clock.'

When I asked him why, he said, 'Well, last night our clock cuckooed three times, then said, 'oh, ****.' Cuckooed four more times, cleared its throat, cuckooed another three times, giggled, cuckooed twice more, and then tripped over the coffee table and farted.

When I was in college, my dad's clock did the same thing. I wonder if there was a factory recall??

The worst feeling was getting home at daylight, my dad meeting me at the door. I had to work that day. Fortunately, I was only a designated driver, so the @zz chewing never came.

Can I have a cup of coffee this morning? It's cold and raining outside, and I need a pick-me-up..

I like my coffee--regular. Plain, and hopefully of a gourmet blend..

Of course, a side order of a Little Debbie hunnybun would be a great compliment.

    Thanks!

    There is always Krispy Kreme!
    and M&M's,
    and Mrs. Freshleys,
    and Hostess,
    and Shipley's Donuts,
and good 'ole southern style sweeeet tea... (mixed at a rate of at least 2cups of "shugar" to a gallon of tea... )

I used to be a Coke addict...(the cola kind..) but I cut back.. I had to do something for the withdrawals...

P.S. I think Lil' Debbie is sweet on me....

Sadly, I don't cook much for other people any more... it's just not worth it.

Besides supper for myself, I make a treat for the co-workers from time to time but that's about it.

I'm going over to the Outback now. Y'all have a safe night.

I like pie. I also like cake. It's been a while since I've eaten 'Outback'. I'm am more of an Applebee's person, but just because I can get there faster, and I can park next door to it when I have my boat hitched up.. Then, there is also Backyard Burgers. MMMM... I like the Waffle Fries..

It's cold outside, but I've got to get ready to leave.... There is a boat/rv show in Tupelo, and I'd like to daydream for a while.. No purchases this year.. Thanks for the coffee and oreos...

(grumbling to myself as I walk in...)

Well, I didn't make it to the Boat/RV show. I got sidetracked enroute, and ended up wasting away the afternoon at a former Boss's house. We spent the afternoon talking about life, and friends, and days gone bye. When I realized the time, it was too late. I had a Bass Club meeting last night, and ran out of time to get to the show.. Probably a good thing too, I heard they had some good Bass rods on sell for Cheap.. Didn't need 'em, but probably would have talked myself in getting them if I had gone.. Had a good meeting for the Club, though.. Ate a great steak at the local meeting place, one of my buddies is the cook, and he tried hard to satisfy the 20 plus people at the meeting... he's a member of the same club..

    How about a Coke?
