Finally! My Christmas shopping is DONE!
It was a long, strung out fight. Long lines, cars everywhere. People pushing, rushing and cussing. Then, when I finally got out of the bank, I headed right to town. Mike's Package store, my favorite holiday gift shop! With my list of names of family and friends, I went about my search. A few bottles of wine here, some good sippin' whiskey there.. Even a few things for the upcoming cold season... It was actually kind of fun. I placed each of the shopping treasures on the counter. The fellow behind the counter was kind enough to securely store each treasure in a box for my trip back to the truck, then with a swipe of the Visa, My shopping was done! I think I did good. I also got some gift bottles of Crown Royal, as back up in case I forgot somebody. Spreading Christmas Spirits, yep, that's me!I fish for a living, but I have to work for money...

There were a few things I had to go to a "department store" to buy. I revived a gift idea that I used to do for my dad when he was alive. Each year, I'd get him a racy swimsuit calendar. This year, my mom will be opening a mysterious package to reveal a "Studs in Spurs" calendar.
It wasn't exactly my most anticipated purchase. I hate long lines. The girl at the check-out counter gave me a strange look.. "No maam, it's not for me, I SWEAR!! It's for my MOM.." I did a little damage control by also purchasing a Maxim swimsuit calendar for my uncle, and tried to bury everything with Christmas Cards while waiting in line..
It was better than the year I went through the checkout with a ladies thong and a Barbie doll.. That relationship was doomed from the start.. Somebody ought to write a book about warning signs in unhealthy relationships..I fish for a living, but I have to work for money...

It sure is depressing to see all the Christmas stuff coming down. I can't believe the Holiday is over.
Hey! I got an idea! Instead of taking everything down, why not leave up everything that is Green until St. Patrick's Day! We could take down the reds and whites, etc. That way, we'd only have about half of the stuff to take down, thus leaving a little bit of Christmas, and having something to look forward to later on.
By the way, there ain't no way in he77 that I'm touching the blue ball ornaments hanging on the urinals. I think folks have been peeing on them. We better call for Hazmat to handle that..
Is it New Year's yet? I've lost count.. The Islamic New Year is on Monday, Dec 29, Kwanzaa is still going until Jan. 1, and can't remember which day of Hanukkah it is.. Boxing day was yesterday.. Carry the 5.. Subtract the fraction... Yep.. It's almost here..I fish for a living, but I have to work for money...

Gotta leave the decorations up until after Jan. 7 (Christmas from the Old Country). Besides, if it's good enough for Gretchen Wilson, it's good 'nuf for me.

Hi everybody!
Just stopping in to have a cold one. I can't remember the last time I was here...Life's been hectic with the little one (now a year old...well, a quarter year old since she's a leap year baby) and work. Better make it just a soda since I'm on duty now...Although a nice Sam seasonal would be nice right about now.The comments made by me are my opinions only, not of the Fire and EMS services I am affiliated with.
I have lost my mind..has anyone seen it? it's not worth much..but it's mine
