I'll join ya'll for a drink. Capt...when you're ever in the lawn-cutting mode again, let me know! I just had to sand & repaint my shed because I keep getting notices, so I'm about done with yard work for the month.
A Margarita sounds good to me about now!
I better just stick with a glass of wine at most. I'm on my way to my other job. I'm following an interesting guy that leaves the bar at 1:17am sharp! Can you imagine? Every night he goes out, he leaves at the same time. Maybe tomorrow I'll hook up with some of you.

Well, back after a long, hot day of work,....hiking up and down a 1/4 mile long driveway all day...A nice tall cold glass of beer please...and keep'm comming...Sky, I'll do a shot of grandad with ya too!

I'm doing outdoor work with my captain from the FD....He does lawnmowing, spring clean up, etc...This one house we mow twice a week, we can't park the truck and trailer by the house...not enough room...So, we have to leave it down on the road. The driveway is 1/4 mile long and uphill going to the house. (I wish I had some pics to show you guys the view from there, it's spectacular..overlooking the lake across the st.) I had the 48" Scagg walkbehind mower and had to walk it up the driveway...Thank God for power wheels. Finsih up mowing my part, and have to go back down to the truck. I didn't realize that while in gear, the mower will take off down the hill. It's not like a standard car where the gears will help you slow down...Then, had to hike back up and down weedwhacking...I almost jumped into the lake afterwards..but then saw how loaded with seaweed it is...plus, the giant snapping turtles look a little hungry...
LOL... Why didn't you just hop on the lawn mower for a ride going back to the truck? You could have fed the turtles some Leuit meat. :D Sounds like you got a workout and a tan. Do you do that kind of work often?
What's the latest on the ex and the old bar job? Any new scoop?
Yeah, it's nice..I'm not a pastey white Italian anymore! I'm working with him about 30-40 hours a week, plus gonna start my ride time..doing 16's sat-mon....Good part is, it'll only take me 4 weeks to finish up.
As far as the old bar job, goodbye, good riddance..They fired me for "not having my head in the game" the weds after I got back...What "game" do I have to be in? All I did was stock beer and wash glasses....
The ex....all I can say is..WTF was I thinking getting together with her...? She still in jail...trying to call me collect (actually just tired again while typing this..)After telling her numerous times I'm not gonna accept anymore collect calls from her...

Welcome to the pub Paris, we have anything a good bar should, including LOTS of alcohol, all brands, kinds, strength...And of course food, anything you want, burgers, skins, moz sticks, wings...Just to name a few...

Thank goodness.. I have had my car for 2 weeks and after 1 week of driving (my first standard) I wanted to reverse and rolled forward... can't even drive when I'm sober, LOL!!!
For the first time in a long time, I am starting to have good days. Yesterday I found out I lost 3 lbs. and today I think I mastered driving standard. :D Hope things get better for you!Quote:
