    Exclamation

I'm spent. I came home from a 48 hour shift and shot my new pistol, then found some worms and went fishing. I caught 1 fish and it didn't cook right so I threw it out. No lunch. Played the comp for a while, then when I was getting ready to go buy some crickets so I could fish more, my pager went. I caught a job and drove the engine to it. Almost creamed a stupid kid that looked right at the big flashing red truck and pulled right out in front of me. Went and drank a cold beer, got some dinner, then came home and had another cold beer. Now I'm pretty tired and I still need to get cleaned up from the fire so I can get some real sleep.

Good day, pub mates! Thanks for saving my stool for me! Seems as though everyone's had a busy & rough week. Gorgeous day here, so how 'bout we fire up the grill later on today? Boys can handle the grill, I'll bring in some baked beans and some brownies for dessert.

    "Tanker... you in here somewhere?"

Right here. I did a nice London broil on the grill yesterday. had some friends over, took all the kiddies to the last day of the Liberty Science center in Jersey City (they close for 2 years of renovations).

    Good day was had.

    ROOK's here!

I have the baked potatoes with all the fixings ready to go. I brought my cast-iron skillet so that I can saute mushrooms, red onions, in a red wine sauce. It was a big hit at the party a few weeks ago.

One of these days we should have a pig roast. Haven't been to one of those in a while.

We've got our first ball game tonight. After which we'll likely head over to the Head Coach (yes, its a real place, recommended by Skyraider) for a sorrow drowner or two. Double header games... o joy o bliss...........

In Martinsburg, WV, there is a bar that you HAVE to be a FF, EMS worker or LE to be let thru the door. It requires a membership card and allows the card holder to bring in one guest.

Hey JoJo...good to hear from you. I need some good-loving from my pub friends about now. Hurt my back this weekend and need some smiles from you to go w/ the "take me out of this world" meds the doc gave me. Leuit, you around to give me a nice drink (or three)?

Just don't start listening to the voices that come at 2 am while you are drinking and holding the hay hook.Mother wouldn't like that.No she wouldn't.

Seriously, the best BBQ we had at my department, and the Chief and I are both originally from Memphis Tn,was when we had a brisket on charcoal, water soaked hickory chips and under a blanket.
I was supposed to tend it after 11am but we got a call after the first look-see at it.
That seems to be the secret.Put on kosher salt/secret spices(I know them but Chief knows I know and he knows where I live)rub, start the fire, let it burn down put a wet blanket overtop it and leave it the H alone for 5 hours.

I like the Glock's .40.If I wasn't married to the six shooter concept,I'd go that way buying an autoloader.

I got myself a new pistol today. Glock 22, very fun to shoot. They weren't kidding when they said to use hearing protection. It sounds like a cannon going off.

WoW! I picked a good time to get back. I'm starved and ready for about 8 shots of Yukon. But beware, I tend to get a bit wilder with this stuff. Thanks for the set up Dems. I promise no dancing on the bar. I've been pushing 20 hour days as of lately and all physical. So I'm due to slow way down. I'm leaving for Vegas in the morning. Should be fun even though will have hubby and kids with me. LOL Am attending a gameing convention.

Sky, I'm sorry to hear about your back. No alcohole for you tonight. Those meds won't mix. Take good care of it or it will come back to haunt you far to often. Yes I'm an old fart so listen to me! LOL

Best get packed if I intend to go early tomorrow.
