Angry terrorism money to build police station

People better start yelling around here or we are going to be getting the shaft yet again. The Morning Call in Allentown Pa reported that the mayor of allentown would like to use @10millon dollars to renovate the 1930's central post office into a new police station. Who would like to know where he plans on getting the money well I'll tell you from the 3.9 billion dollars set aside to go to emergency responders. The mayor would like to include a "regional emergency command center" that way the city would be able to get the money. If people are not going to be putting up a fight ALL the money will be wasted on BS like this.

Considering the communications problems that plagued the 9-11-01 disasters, is a "Regional Emergency Command Center" that bad of a way to spend the money? This would appear to benefit not just the police, but also the Fire Dept. and EMS. What are the restrictions on the projects these funds can be used for anyway?

choad33, maybe it would be better if you gave us some ideas where you think the money would be more appropriately spent? There isn't a lot of information that you are telling us here.

    Question I don't see

Sorry, but I really don't see what's wrong. How big of a town/city are we talking about here? What's wrong with the Cops getting some new toys? Fill us in on some more info please.
Who cares if we are volunteer or paid? Not the fire. We fight fire not each other. Get it straight my brothers and sisters.
