    Default Rope Rescue course NFPA1670

    Hi,

I have been presenting Rope Rescue courses for the last 6 years. I used to present this according to the CMC Rope Rescue Manual (a single course covering all aspects) but would now like to change the course to make it compliant with NFPA1670. If anyone has course material drawn up to this specification and is willing to share this with me I would really appreciate it.

    Please send to: gideon.swart@petrosa.co.za

    Thanks in advance.

    Default NFPA 1983

NFPA 1760 is the standards for Technical Rescue. NFPA 1983 is the standards for life safety rope and all of the system requirements. That may be the one you want to follow.

    Default NFPA 1670

    Hi there,

CFDE3, As you say, NFPA1983 is the standard for Life Safety Rope.

I am looking for Rope Rescue course material compiled according to NFPA 1670 - the NFPA code addressing technical rescue of which rope rescue forms part.

    Regards

You can try contacting the Virginia Department of Fire Programs at vdfp.mail@vdfp.state.va.us

They currently offer Rope Rescue 1, 2, and 3 courses. All are based on NFPA 1983
