    Default assessment center for chief of department

    One of my associates is about to undergo an assessment center for the position of chief of department. This process is new here and I would like to hear from anyone who has already undergone such an experience for position of chief officer as to what to expect by way of exercises and interviews.     Default Assessment Centers

    we do assessments for ALL hiring. AS for the Chief, we set up a panel of fire chiefs from surrounding departments, a union rep, a fire board rep, and two members of the community. They all sit in and interview the candidates for chief. As for testing, we mainly do interviews and sometimes, multiple interview processes depending upon the closeness of candiates after the first interview. Each round of interviews get more detailed than the last. Everyone shoul dknow who and what they are getting as fire chief.
