    OK, I willing to learn here boys..

    What I know about rugby could fill a tablespoon, but there is always room for knowledge. So feel free to fill me in.

    Hey Kiwi, I may have to add that to my sig.

    Here are some old rugby sayings:

    Rugby is sophisticated violence

    Rugby is a ruffians game played by gentlemen, soccer is a gentlemens game played by ruffians.

    It takes leather balls to play rugby

    Rugby is the only game where your wife doesn't mind you playing with hookers.

    There are no rules in rugby, we have laws instead

    Rugby and firefighting seem to mix well

    If you pour it they will come

    There is nothing to fear but beer itself

    There is only one way to tackle a person, HARD.

    If you are moving faster than them you will drive them backwards.
    However a 120 pound person might have a wee problem with 266 pound Jonah Lomu.

    That is kinda like going head to head against a pumper.

    When I was playing our props were slightly enough differing in height, to the point that I was frequently getting shoved left side first into the scrum. Being a lefty, I wanted to keep that shoulder intact. I remember playing the Carolina club side and one of our backs dislocating HIS shoulder. Talk about ethical dilemmnas- treat the patient or drag him out and resume play.

    Needless to say, he was a trooper; he drove himself to the nearest trauma center.

    President Gonzo:
    I submit the following for your entertainment:

    Ballad of a COJ

    When out of the dust
    There arose such a crust,
    As far as the eye could see…

    With boots pulled up high
    He let out a cry;
    “Crusty old jakes, are we”.

    While jerking on hose,
    Black snot dripped from their nose
    And leather covered their head…

    With gray hair and a wrinkle
    In their eyes was a twinkle,
    To a junior, this was said:

    “Have a heart of a lion,
    And never stop tryin’
    To reach for your dream;

    Always be quick and
    When the sh*t gets thick,
    Remember the rest of your team.

    Listen, look and learn,
    Wait for your turn
    And give unselfishly…

    You’ve pass the test
    Just like the rest;
    You’re a crusty old jake like me!”

    No need to be politically correct here (I hate that phrase). Personally I would be and am honoured every time someone refers to me as 'one of the guys'

    Chief

    Outstanding job. Do you have a stage name yet? With all this talent it is only a matter of time before you hit the big time. The talent in this group is incredible. Keep the hits coming.

    Motown,

    After this gets going well, maybe we can have a international & national "I Love My Life Party". I know you have probably attended the 7th's at one time or another.

    Just had a bad scare. I went to the I.O.C.O.J. site, got a message saying server was down. I hit the refresh button and the site came up. My heart started beating again and I wiped the sweat from my brow.....Whew.
