Georgia FF Burned
Thank God for Justice! Keep him in your prayers!
Augusta firefighter suffers burns trying to rescue children
(Augusta-AP) -- When Augusta-Richmond County firefighter Randy
Justice was told there might be children in a burning house, he
didn't hesitate to rush inside to investigate.
The veteran firefighter suffered third-degree burns to his hands
and less serious burns to his arms and neck while searching the
house yesterday. It turned out no one was inside.
Justice, a 44-year-old whose father was a firefighter, was taken
to the hospital where doctors performed skin grafts on his hands.
After the grafts, he was listed in good condition.
Battalion Chief John Clark said -- quote -- "That's his duty to
go in there, especially with the idea that two children were in
there. He did a good job."
Clark said despite his injuries, Justice is expected to be able
to return to work in a couple weeks.
