    Default New Fire Shelter

Well its about time the USFS, BLM and everyone else got us a new fire shelter, but the bad news is that we will not get it until the middle of the fire season next year.

What is everyone thoughts and feelings on this?

I know that Storm King Mountain Storm King Mountain as been one of the companys who had a shelter in testing for us.

My gut feeling is that we *the firefighters* are still not getting the best product and the Gov is taking some short cuts to safe money.

    Stay Safe,

All the more reason to remember LCES and NEVER get in to a situation where you have to deploy. Be aware of expected weather, terrain, fuel types and communicate with your crew members!

    Among other things.
