This is beyond rediculous. How can pledging to our country be unconstitutional. Is "In God We Trust" coming of the money next?

I agree. This is another example of wasting our [taxpayer] money which could be better used to aid in Public Safety & Education.Originally posted by Steve Hagy

What and ignorant bunch. It's most definitely unconstitutional. It establishes a federal preference for a specific religion. This is a clear violation of the establishment clause. And yes in god we trust coming off the money is next. Keep your religion to yourself and off my money. This is a secular democratic republic. As an atheist American i have the right to not be bombarded by your religious propaganda. Don't like it? Leave. (a bit of irony for you "love it or leave it" pseudo-patriots. It's not "love it or leave it", it's love it or change it", hence the whole DEMOCRATIC FREE PROCESS thing we pushed for in the late 18th century.

Beyond reason
It's a good thing the 9th circuit court of appeals has stayed their decision.
If that decision is not overturned, it will be unconstitutional to pledge your allegiance to that the flag you are allowed to burn!!
Ironic isn't it ?

to slob, if you don't like it tough sh** but for the rest of us we all believe in what it stands for.so don't ruin it for the rest of us that cares for the country that we live in. we should also care about all the soldiers that have fought and died for this wonderful country. we as firefighters also defend this country, not as the same way that the soldiers did or do, but we do are part to.so if you don't like then leave the U.S.

Atheists care for the country too.
Don't offend the armed forces by trying to compare what we do to what they do. We don't have a licence to kill, they do.
